The first school established by Children of War — founded by the late Najibullah Aziz — this school has provided education, hope, and opportunity for orphaned and underserved children for over 23 years. Today it also serves as the headquarters of our Afghanistan operations.
Many graduates have pursued higher education in Pharmacy, Engineering, Nursing, and Computer Science.
Several alumni have returned as teachers, continuing the cycle of empowerment.
A number of former students are now professionals, married, and supporting families.

Built through the generosity of the Ali family and dedicated in loving memory of Roya Ali, this school transformed an entire community. More than a school — it includes over 250 single-family homes built for families who were previously living in tents near the campus.
Over 250 single-family homes constructed with two rooms and one bathroom each.
Campus features a solar power system and a clean water well for students and families.

Founded to meet the urgent educational needs of one of Kabul's most underserved neighborhoods, Bilal Hamza School was intentionally placed in an area with no nearby schools and high economic hardship. It has since become one of the top-performing schools in the area.
Graduates every 6 years consistently rank among the top students in their public schools.
Most students come from low-income families — the school provides critical access to education.

The only primary school in Ibrahimkhail village — built on land donated by the local community to our late founder Najibullah Aziz in 2009. After his passing, The Children of War honored his vision by raising funds and building the school in 2011. Recently renovated, it continues to serve as a cornerstone of education in rural Wardak Province.

Since 2003, the Paghman School has been a dedicated all-girls institution, providing vital education in a region where learning — especially for girls — is often out of reach. Over two decades, it has become a cornerstone of hope and progress in the community.
24 graduates have gone on to complete midwifery school, serving their communities.
Many others have excelled in nursing, computer science, and various professions.
Graduates are now working and actively serving their community in Paghman.

Their dedication reflects a deep commitment to the people of Afghanistan and the lasting value of education.
